IS JESUS CHRIST GOD
Did the Bible ever say Jesus was a Spirit/God who took on flesh? Did it say he was ‘very God’ and ‘very man?’ Or, did the bible just describe him as a man? Let’s divide scriptures for ourselves.
But that ye may know that the Son of MAN hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of MAN hath not where to lay his head.
The phrase ‘son of man’ simply means ‘Man.’ It expresses the complete humanity of the one being referred to.
Jesus kept on describing himself as a man. He never said he was half man half God. If he was, he would have stated it clearly.
See Paul’s statement in his letter to Timothy:
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, THE MAN Christ Jesus;
God was very deliberate about sending a man to be the medium through which he reconciles humanity back to himself. The advocate between man and God has to be a righteous MAN. He must understand every single thing man goes through. A half God, half man is definitely a ‘Super man’ and wouldn’t understand all (in terms of personal experience). The saviour had to be a complete man. Someone who goes through every pain, temptation and experience of mere men.
Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, he himself also shared the same things, so that by his death he might destroy the one who has the power of death (that is, the devil)
thereby BECOMING LIKE HIS BROTHERS IN EVERY WAY, so that he could be a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God and could atone for the people’s sins.
The scriptures are too clear for minds bent on seeking and clinging to truth not to accept. The Bible doesn’t say he was half God and half man. It says he was like his brothers (humanity) IN EVERY WAY. The NET version says “He shared in their humanity…”
If he didn’t have a complete understanding of the weaknesses and pains of humanity, he couldn’t have been qualified enough for the position of a faithful high priest.
See verse 18
For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
So, it’s clear that he had to feel everything we feel, the way we feel it, for him to be the right advocate/mediator.
Jesus is part of us; our elder brother (there’s no second or third… He comes first and every other believer follows in the same category).
because both the one who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified all have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to CALL THEM BROTHERS.
He calls us brothers because we have the same father. God is my father. He’s also the father of Jesus Christ.
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word. Then my Father will love him, and we will go to him and make our home within him.
Yahweh is my God. He’s also the God of my Lord Jesus Christ.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Jesus is the SON OF GOD. He’s not God. The Bible doesn’t mention ‘trinity’ anywhere. The fabricated teachings of men should have no place in the church. We must choose to believe only what the Bible teaches. Respect God’s word over the teaching of any ‘church father’ or ‘patriarch.’
I call you blessed. Anticipate our 7th part.
